Khichdi or khichdi, South Asia was an appetizer made from rice and lentils (dal). Khichdi is the inspiration for an Anglo-Indian kedgeree. Try this meal, is very good for people who are dieting, can make it with barley instead of white rice.

Ingredients
- 1 cup white rice
- 1/2 cup yellow split lentils (moong ki daal)
- 1/2 cup red lentils tiny (Masoor ki daal)
- 1 medium size onion slices
- 5 whole red chilli flakes
- salt
- 1/2 cup oil
- 1 green chilli, onions
- The first shared washing rice lentils and soak in water for 15 minutes. Take oil in a frying pan fried onions and peppers fried until golden
- Now drain the rice and lentils together add oil and add salt to simmer for 5 minutes on low heat.
- Now add the water required to cook about 15 to 20 minutes or until you feel it has a soft and dry, serve with potato mash with chutney
